This is a brand new course intended for individuals who wish to complete a credit-equivalent course in preparation for admission to health professional programs (including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing), for those working or interested in industry and government careers who seek to improve their knowledge in pharmacology, or for individuals with a general interest in expanding their understanding of this important medical discipline.

The Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology offers four specialist and two major programs at the undergraduate level to some 300 students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts & Science resulting in a B.Sc. Honors degree; and around 85 graduate students enrolled in research-intensive programs of advanced scientific investigation at both the MSc and PhD levels.  Our faculty also provide instruction in the undergraduate medical (MD) and dental (DDS) programs.

Students who graduate from our programs go on to professional degrees, enter research at academic institutions, work in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, work with consulting companies. Our students gain expertise and knowledge in both basic and clinical research and have a variety of opportunities to apply their knowledge throughout their program.
